Tioga County
Mansfield state police have charged a business with disorderly conduct. Troopers did not reveal the company’s name but said after they responded to a call just before two am on April 20 but while investigating, they discovered the business had more that 3 at fault burglary alarms within a one year span.
Potter County
A theft via bad checks this past winter was investigated by state police at Coudersport. Authorities were called to Tall Pines Mercantile Route 44 North in Hebron Township on May 2 for a report of a bad checks written to Maplevale Farms Inc. of Falconer,NY on February 16. Police did not say anything more except that the investigation is complete.
McKean County
A sleepy driver escaped injury in an accident taking place just before 10:00 pm Friday in Mount Jewett. According to state police, 19 year old Jess Shetler was going east on Route 6 when he fell asleep at the wheel of his 1997 Toyota 4-Runner on a left curve, causing it to collide with an unoccupied parked 2012 Dodge Caravan owned by Pamela Stahli of Mt. Jewett. Route 6 was shut down for about an hour.
Four people were arrested for drug possession after their 2011 Chevrolet Cruz was pulled over for a traffic violation Saturday afternoon on Route 219 in Sergeant Township. Tyler Hill, 25 of Saltsburg, 27 year old Ryan Livingston of Cherry Tree, PA,23 year old Faith English of Cherry Tree Borough and 18 Isaac Sodmont of Marstellar PA are facing charges in district court.
State police at Lewis Run are investigating a drug possession on South Avenue in Bradford Township last Wednesday night. A 43 year old Columbia South Carolina man was allegedly discovered in possession of a controlled substance when he was stopped by police for a traffic violation.
A 41 year old Dubois man was arrested by state police at Lewis Run for having five cartons of unstamped cigarettes in his 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. Andre Woods was stopped for traffic violations on Route 219 in Hamlin Township Saturday afternoon. We don’t know if there is a connection or not, but a Dubois woman was arrested last week by Lewis Run state police for having 118 cartons of unstamped cigarettes in her car.
A Chambersburg man was injured in an ATV crash early Sunday in Sergeant Township. State police report 44 year old Joseph Pyne was traveling North along Bloomster Hollow Road when the 2010 Polaris Ranger went out
of control, skidded sideways, rolled onto the operator side and ejected Pyne and his passenger Brandon Dice, 44, also of Chambersburg. Pyne was flown from the scene by Mercy Flight while Dice was not hurt.
