State police at Lewis Run say the death of an elderly Kane woman Monday afternoon appears to have been accidental. When Mt. Jewett volunteer firefighters responded to a
wildfire at 2850 Campbelltown Road in Sergeant Township just before 5:00 pm, they found the body of 81 year old Josephine Pavlock near the scene.
A Rochester, NY man was arrested for harassment with threatening language last Friday morning in Hamlin Township. Troopers allege 56 year old Chris Baldelli entered the Barrel House Restaurant on Route 6 around 9:30 am with the intent of causing public inconvenience by yelling, screaming and using obscene language.
Details have just been released about a one-vehicle accident on April 4 on Summit Road in Otto Township. According to state police 19 year old Brandon Carey of Bradford was going south when his 2012 Chrysler 200 failed to make a curve, traveled over an embankment and spun around some 30 feet before colliding with a tree. Carey was not hurt but the car had to be towed away.
An elderly Crosby man was hurt in a collision Monday night in Keating Township. Troopers report 78 year old John Berne was driving a 2020 Ford Ranger south on Route 46 which crossed the double yellow center line and collided with a 1992 GMC Sierra driven by
18 year old Ryan Sherwood of Smethport. Berne was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Sherwood and his passenger, Justice Peterson of Bradford were not hurt. However, Sherwood was cited for driving an uninspected vehicle.
A hit and run on Route 46 in Norwich Township April 6 was investigated by state police at Lewis Run. An unknown vehicle went out of control, traveled onto the shoulder near the intersection with Sackett Hollow Road and hit a mailbox. The driver left the scene without providing notification.
Another hit and run was also investigated by troopers at Lewis Run. At approximately 9:30 pm April 8, an unknown vehicle left Anderson Street in Mt. Jewett hit a legally parked 2009 Honda Ridgeline owned by Danny Kinney of Mt. Jewett. That driver also left the scene without notifying authorities or the owner of the pick up.
DUI charges are pending against a 34 year old Bradford man whose 2021 Subaru Crosstrek was pulled over by patrol officers
on East Main Street in Foster Township just before 10:00 pm April l.
State police at Lewis Run are looking for a suspect scattering rubbish on the Dunbar Road in Annin Township a little after 3:00pm last Thursday. A witness told police the suspect is a black male driving a white Infinity SUV bearing New Jersey registration. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run 814-368-9230.
Potter County
Both people involved in a domestic violence incident April 7 north of Roulette have been charged with physical harassment. Troopers were summoned to 77 West Branch Fishing
Creek at about 7 pm and found that a 36 year old Roulette man and a 33 year old Clara Township woman had assaulted each other during an argument.
Elk County
The theft of a catalytic converter in Fox Township is being investigated by state police at Ridgway. The part was removed from a 2006 Ford Econoline owned by a 61 year old Kerseyman while it was parked on Shelvey Summit Road March 31.
A passenger in a 2015 Ford F-150XLT was arrested for drug possession when troopers stopped the truck on Route 219 hear Burning Well Road in Jones Township last Fridays night. The 32 year old Buffalo woman was allegedly found in possession of small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will begin a bridge replacement project on Route 1011 (Hickox/Ulysses Road) in Bingham Township, Potter County on Monday, April 17.
