Potter County

A 17 year old Shinglehouse boy was taken to Olean General Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries after he was struck by a car just before 7:00 pm Thursday on Route 44 in Sharon Township. Troopers report the youth was standing on the  unlit road. The victim was wearing dark clothing including a camo coat and the road was wet due to melting snow. No charges are pending against  76 year old Robin Putnam of Bolivar, the driver of the Nissan Rogue.

McKean County

A theft on Edson Street in Eldred December 15 is being investigated by state police at Lewis Run. Someone took a camera from the northern side of a building owned by the McKean County Housing Authority. The thief left the area headed west. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 814.368.9230.

Two 19 year old Wilmington, NC residents were arrested for drug possession after being stopped on Route 219 in Hamlin Township Sunday morning. Troopers at Lewis Run claim the couple was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Drug possession charges have also been filed against a Mt. Morris, NY man who was stopped by troopers on Hilton Street in Bradford early Saturday morning. Police claim 48 year old Dana Brzenski was in possession of illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A 44 year old Mt. Jewett man has been jailed for violating a Protection From Abuse Order. State police allege the suspect, whose name was withheld violated the PFA protecting a 32 year old Westline woman Thursday afternoon on Short Street in Mt. Jewett.

State police at Lewis Run arrested a 49 year old Eldred man for criminal trespass. Authorities claim the crime occurred last Thursday morning of Miles Lane in Annin Township. The suspect’s name was not released.

Elk County

No details were released but State Police a Ridgway say a 71 year old Kane woman was the victim of an online scam early Thursday morning and sent the criminals a cashier’s check for $7500.

Troopers at Ridgway are investigating a report of statutory rape  occurring in Jones Township last Wednesday afternoon. An adult male was reported by Childline as having an inappropriate releationship with a 14 year old Wilcox girl.

The name of a truck driver involved in a minor mishap just after 7:00 am Sunday in Ridgway Township. Troopers explained a 2020 Freightliner was traveling north on Route 948 went the passenger side tires went onto the soft shoulder and were sucked into a ditch.

Tioga County

A Dallas, PA driver escaped injury in a car/deer collision Friday evening in Lawrence Township. State police said Jerry Smith was unable to avoid hitting a deer which ran onto Route 15 in Lawrence Township in front of his Ford Ecosport Titanium
