McKean County

The theft of an ATV in Eldred is being investigated by state police. A 2007 dark green Suzuki belonging to a 46 year old Eldred man was taken from his residence on the Prentisvale Road September 29. The machine was located later at the Dandy Mini Mart in Eldred with significant damage.

Troopers are also probing the theft of some items from a pick up truck in Wetmore Township late last month. Thieves stole  a Stihl chain saw valued at $600; a Stihl weed eater with the word “cooter” written on top and a  small blue portable air compressor from the back of a 2019 Dodge Ram while it was parked on Highland Road between 6:00 pm September 21 and 8:00 am September 24. The equipment  is owned by a 53 year old Kane woman.  Anyone with information about either theft is asked to call state police at 814.368.9230.

Both Kane residents involved in a domestic violence assault Sunday afternoon have been charged with physical harassment. Troopers at Lewis Run say when they responded to a report of a domestic incident on Paradise Drive in Wetmore Township  they separated a 51 year old man and a 31 year old woman and interviewed both before charging them in district court.

Two  26 year old downstate residents have been charged for drug possession by state police at Lewis Run. The suspects, one from Winburne, PA and the other from Drifting PA  were allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia when their 2022 Hyundai Tucson was stopped on Route 219 in Sergeant Township last Friday evening.

Minor injuries were reported for a Coudersport motorcyclist after a collision last Friday afternoon in Keating Township. According to state police at Lewis Run, the collision occurred when James Holzwarth of Rew who was traveling south on Route 646 tried to make a left turn onto Northland Road and his Chevrolet Impala collided with a 2017 Suzuki operated by David Morris.  Holzwarth and his passenger, Joshua Finland were not hurt but Morris was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Tioga County

A 38 year old Galeton man has been charged for physical harassment in connection to an incident allegedly taking place early Monday morning in Westfield. State police claim, the unnamed suspect, hit a 49 year old Westfield woman during an argument at around 5:30 am  at  a house on Church Street.
