McKean County

Two Kane residents have been jailed for drugs and firearms violation. Paul McMahon and Marily McMahon were arrested after troopers executed a search warrant July 27 at their home at 220 Haines Street. Authorities allege they found multiple stolen firearms, cross bows, a large amount of fentanyl/heroin, multiple bottles of pills, marijuana, scales and items packaged to sell the listed drugs as well as a handwritten drug “menu”. The suspects were committed to the McKean County Jail in lieu of $400,000 straight bail.

A Wellsboro man has been arrested for violating a protection from abuse order. State police claim 35 year old Paul Isadore broke the law last Monday afternoon by violating the order which was in place to protect a 66 Smethport woman.

Two inmates at the McKean County jail have been arrested for simple assault. Troopers claim a 27 year old Bradford man and a 29 year old Oswayo man became involved in an altercation last Tuesday morning.

DUI charges are pending against a 52 year old Duke Center woman who was stopped by state police on Route 446 in Eldred on the night of August 13. Police claim the woman was driving her 2017 Nissan Rogue under the influence of alcohol.

Troopers at Lewis Run arrested a 21 old Altoona man for DUI after stopping his 2020 Chevrolet Silverado on Route 219 in Lafayette last Wednesday. Police claim they found the unnamed suspect driving under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A Port Allegany man has been arrested for possessing drugs. The suspect whose name is being withheld, was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia when officers stopped his 1997 Dodge on South Main Street in Port Allegany last Wednesday morning.

A 47 year old Bradford man has also been charged with DUI. State police claim the suspect, whose name is being withheld, was observed driving a 2004 Ford F-150XLT , going out of his lane on the Derrick Road in Foster Township just before 3:00 am August 14. He was determined to be driving his truck under the influence of alcohol.

Two Bradford residents have been charged for possessing drugs. State police at Lewis Run arrested a 29 year old Bradford woman and a 36 year old man after they executed a search warrant assisting computer crimes officers  at their home at 43 South Kendall Street last Wednesday morning.

Potter County

Both drivers were hurt in a collision last Tuesday afternoon in Sharon Township. According to state police, the collision occurred when Joshua Smith of Allentown, NY who was going east failed to make a left hand curve and allowed his Dodge Caravan to move into the opposite lane where it collided with a Jeep Renegade driven by Gary Morris of Shinglehouse. Smith was taken by ambulance to Olean General Hospital and Morris was transported to Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.

Troopers at Coudersport are investigating the theft of some scrap metal in Oswayo Township. The metal belongs to a 68 year old Shinglehouse man and was taken from the 11 Mile Road last Tuesday.

A harassment by communication in Sweden Township is being investigated by state police at Coudersport. No details were released but the victim is listed as a 71 year old Coudersport woman.

Elk County

Two Elk County juveniles are being charged for propulsion of missiles with intent to harm. According to Ridgway police, a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 57 year old Johnsonburg woman sustained $2,000  in damage when it was hit by a stone while traveling on Route 219 in Ridgway Township at around 8:30 am August 1. The suspects were located at a nearby residence.

Minor injuries were reported for one driver following a collision last Wednesday afternoon on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township, Elk County. State police report the collision occurred when Jose Rodriguez of St. Marys made a left turn off of Route 255 onto Rita Lane without yielding to a 2019 VW GTI driven by Andrew Wright, also of St. Marys. Wright refused treatment for minor injuries.

Troopers at Ridgway are  looking for a 2015 burnt orange Dodge Caravan driven by vandals who damaged the Heavenly Style Salon on the Ridgway/St.Marys Road at 11:11 pm Saturday. Criminals shot out a window at the business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgway State Police Barracks.

Tioga County

A forgery taking place on the North Road in Middlebury Township is being investigated by state police at Mansfield. A 74 year old Middlebury Center man is listed as the victim. The check was valued at $1700.53.

State police at Mansfield arrested a 24 year old Lyons, NY woman for animal cruelty. Authorities claim the woman left two dogs in her 2018 Chevrolet Trax last Tuesday at around 11:30 am for an extended period of time. The vehicle was not running an interior temperatures were reportedly elevated.

Mansfield state police are continuing to investigate multiple sexual assaults of a 14 year old Westfield boy last week.

An attempted burglary at a house on Route 6 in Richmond Township Friday evening is being investigated by state police at Mansfield. Criminals were unsuccessful but scraped paint on the door casing in the process.

Serious injuries were reported for an elderly Hanover, PA motorcyclist and his passenger after a collision with an SUV on Route 15 in Blossburg Saturday morning. Troopers explained Nora Coon of East Petersburg, PA was traveling north and switched from the left lane to the right lane and did  not see a Harley Davidson operated by 77 year old John Reynolds of Hanover, PA. Coon’s Toyota Prius hit the rear of the motorcycle. Reynolds and his wife, 73 year old Linda Reynolds were taken to UPMC Williamsport by ambulance. Both were using helmets.  Coon was arrested for failing to use a turn signal.

A Wellsboro woman has been arrested for speeding following a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Route 660 in Richmond Township. Troopers say Amy Middleton was going east when her Chevrolet Silverado went off the right side of the road and entered a ditch. When Middleton tried to drive back onto the highway, the truck  rolled over three times before stopping. Middleton was not hurt.

Both drivers escaped injury in a collision Saturday morning involving similar trucks on Route 287 in Morris Township. Troopers report the collision occurred at the intersection of Route 287 and Horn Road when  73 year old Arthur Johnston of Foglesville, PA, after stopping his Ford F-150 XLT at a stop sign made a left turn in front of a Ford F-150XLT driven  by Scott Yingling of New Enterprise, PA.

A Richmond, VA driver escaped injury in a weather-related accident last Wednesday on Route 15 in Mansfield. According to state police, Timothy Harris Jr. was going south when his 2018 Mercedes Benz hit a large amount of water and spun off the road.
