Emporium man jailed for sex abuse of young boy….Millerton man medically evaluated after creating disturbance….theft of money and other items stolen in Eldred….Owlett to host  program on Pennsylvania turkeys… 

 

                                                                        Cameron County

A 50 year old Emporium man has been jailed for sexual abuse of children.  State police allege Peter Farren had indecent contact with a 7 year old boy while acting as the boy’s caretaker. Farren was arraigned before District Judge Barry Brown on charges of unlawful contact with a minor; corruption of minors; indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and endangering the welfare of children as a parent or guardian.  Unable to post $35,000 bail, Farren was committed to the Potter County Jail.

Drug possession charges have been filed against 26 year old Robert Murray of Pittsburgh by state police at Emporium. State police allege they found Murray in possession of drugs and paraphernalia when they stopped his 2019 Ford Ecosport on Route 120 in Shippen Township this past Friday evening.

Tioga County

Christopher Gates, 53 of Millerton was taken to Guthrie Medical Center in Sayre for medical evaluation following a incident at around 9:30 am on July 4th in Jackson Township. Gates was taken into custody when state police received multiple calls about a disturbance on Main Street.

McKean County

A theft occurring at 16 Edson Street in Eldred is being investigated by state police at Lewis Run. A Tracfone, wallet, containing $130 in cash,  and seven gold dollar coins belonging to 78 year old Wilmer McVinney were stolen on the morning of July 13.

State police at Lewis Run did not release details but say they investigated the theft of a $50 pre-paid gift card belonging to 75 year old  Alvin Bair of Elided on June 20.

A 22 year old Warren man, whose name is being withheld, has been arrested for physical harassment and criminal mischief for a domestic violence incident Saturday morning on West Main Street in Hamilton Township , McKean County. According to state police at Lewis Run, the suspect assaulted a family member, a 46 year old  Ludlow man when an argument escalated.

Troopers at Lewis Run arrested 38 year old Marshall Dulski of Mt. Jewett for DUI and driving with suspended license after pulling him over on Red Mill Road in Norwich Township last Thursday afternoon. Police noted Dulski has been labeled a habitual offender through PennDot.

Commission Biologist Tony Musselman.The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wellsboro Fireman’s Annex, 21 East Ave., Wellsboro. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.Musselman will talk about the Commonwealth’s turkey population and the agency’s ongoing turkey study and take questions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the district’s newest game warden, Richard Lee.
