A Genesee man has been charged with one count of criminal attempt to have sexual intercourse with an animal and one of animal cruelty. State police claim their investigation found 66 Harold Kenderdine tried to have intercourse with a cat late last week.
McKean County
Two Kane youths have been charged with criminal mischief for vandalism at the Glenwood Park Monday morning. State police allege a 13 year and a 12 year old used a backhoe owned by Mealy Excavating of Tionesta to damage the park and other items belonging to Kane borough.
Elk County
A burglary in Highland Township, Elk County is being investigated by state police at Ridgway. Thieves broke into a shed on Weiklan Lane owned by a 54 year old Bristolville, OH man and stole two Enduro style motorcycles. One is a yellow 2006 Suzuki DR 200 bearing Ohio registration GFL59. The other is a white and blue Suzuki DR 200 bearing Ohio Registration 22RLV. The thieves broke a padlock to gain entry. Anyone with information asked to call state police at 814.776.6136.
Troopers at Ridgway are investigating a theft involving a bad check. A 59 year old Ridgway resident told police he tried to cash a check for $1250 as compensation for incomplete work agreed upon by himself and another person. When he tried to cash the check the bank informed him the account had been closed and the check could not be cashed.
A fire of undetermined origin caused $60,000 in damage to a building on W. Oilwell Street in St. Marys early Sunday morning. The building is owned by a 61 year old St. Marys man. The investigation is continuing.
A medical emergency may have caused a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon. State police at Ridgway report 53 year old Michael Watson was going north on Route 219 when his Buick Encore crossed to the other side and hit a water pump. Watson was not hurt.
DUI charges are pending against a 61 year old Johnsonburg man who was stopped by patrol officers on Grant Street that town early Sunday morning. Officers claimed they saw the unnamed suspect’s 2011 GMC Sierra commit a traffic violation.
A 21 year old Kersey driver is also facing DUI charges. Troopers did not release the suspect’s name but claim they found the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox had been drinking when he was pulled over on Cherry Road for a traffic violation early Saturday morning.
Cameron County
An electrical fault is blamed for a fire which caused $70,000 in damage to a home of West 6th Street Emporium back on May 15. State police have just released details saying their investigation determined the fire originated in the ceiling of a second story exterior porch at the house owned by Mary Greif. There were no injuries.
A 39 year old Emporium man has been jailed on assault charges. Authorities allege William Feldbauer injured a 39 year old Emporium woman by hitting her several times. After troopers arrived at the home on West Allegany Avenue Sunday morning at 6 hour stand-off ensued when Feldbauer refused to leave his home. At some point, he was taken into custody and committed to the McKean County Jail with bail being denied by the district judge.
Details were not provided but state police at Emporium arrested 48 year old Emporium man Friday afternoon on Clear Creek Road for harassment. The investigation is continuing.
Troopers at Emporium arrested a resident on the Sizerville Road for four counts of cruelty to animals Thursday. Authorities were called to the location by a neighbor.
An assault taking place early Sunday morning on Poplar Street in Emporium is being probed by state police there. A patron of the Midtowne Bar was attacked by an unknown assailant while walking home.
Tioga County
The theft of a motor vehicle in Lawrenceville is being investigated by state police at Mansfield. A 2015 Chevrolet Trax-white with PA Registration KSB7196 owned by Mary Eckman was taken from her garage between 3:00 and 7:00 am Sunday.
