Tioga County
The theft of some automotive parts is being investigated by state police at Mansfield. Thieves cut a hole in a property fence at Best Transit in Mansfield last weekend to reach two Ford buses and stole catalytic convertors from each. The convertors are valued at $250 each.
A Green Spring West Virginia woman and her passenger were not hurt in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Covington Township, Tioga County. State police said Christina Sanger was going west on Mack Road when her Magnum trailer and Equipment Explorer went off the right side of the road and hit a mailbox and utility pole before coming to rest in a ditch.
Troopers at Mansfield arrested 36 year old Earle Trimble of Lawrenceville for violating a protection from abuse order on May 8. The active order was filed on behalf of 34 year old Naomi Hoffman of Elkland.
McKean County
A theft by deception is being investigated by state police at Lewis Run. Someone used a credit or ATM card belonging to a 62 year old Kane ma to make a $180 purchase from a fraudulent website on April 28.
Both Bradford drivers escaped injury in a collision Tuesday afternoon in Corydon Township, McKean County. State police at Lewis Run report the collision occurred when Brandon McCauley of Bradford tried to pass a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Alma Estep when she was trying to turn left from Route 321 onto Klondike Road. After hitting Estep’s vehicle, McCauley’s 2004 Subaru Impreza went off the road and ended up in a ditch. He was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.
Troopers at Lewis Run are investigating a criminal mischief taking place at 28 Kushequa Avenue in Mount Jewett last weekend. Vandals threw one egg a the home of Roger Rosesch on multiple occasions.
Two people were arrested by troopers at the Lewis Run barracks on the night of May 8. Officers responded to a disabled vehicle on Route 219 in Hamlin Township and allegedly discovered 37 year old Robert Werner of Newfield, NJ and 34 year old Julie Wasko, no address given, were in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Elk County
Troopers at Ridgway are probing two more ID thefts. Someone used the identity of a 28 year old Weedville woman to fraudulently file for unemployment compensation on May 8 and the identity of a 61 year old Kersey woman was used to illegally file for unemployment April 24.
Vandals damaged the hood of a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer owned by a 45 year old St. Marys woman while it was parked unattended at Walmart on May 8.
