Both drivers were hurt in a collision last Thursday morning in Eldred Township. According to Lewis Run state police, the collision occurred when Alexis Layman of Olean, who was headed south her Kia Forte crossed the center line and hit a Nissan Juke driven by Tammy Church of Eldred. Layman was taken to Eric County Medical Center in Buffalo and Church was transported to UPMC Hamot for treatment of serious injuries.
Drug possession charges are being filed against 28 year old Bryan Hathaway of Portville, NY by state police at Lewis Run. Troopers claim when they stopped Hathaway on the West Eldred Road early last Wednesday morning they found him in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
A 20 year old Brynedale man has been arrested for physical harassment in connection to an incident allegedly taking place Sunday morning on Washington Street in Jay Township. Troopers claim the suspect whose identity was withheld, damaged an Apple iPhone belonging to an 18 year Roulette woman during an argument . Damage amounted to $500.
The theft of some gasoline from the Valley Farm Market in Weedville is under investigation by state police at Ridgway. Someone pumped 14 .3 gallons of unleaded fuel into at 2020 Toyota 4-Runnerlast Monday afternoon at the self service pump. The fuel was valued at $63.09.
Both Emporium sisters have been cited for harassment for a fight taking place on the afternoon of May 6 in Shippen Township. Troopers at Emporium claim a 33 year old and a 38 year hit each other during a disagreement on Sunny Lane Road.
A theft from a building on Summit Street in Hamilton Township in Tioga County was investigated by troopers at the Mansfield barracks. Someone stole a socket set valued at $15 owned by a 17 year old Morris Run resident. The theft was discovered on May 3.

Nine Republicans are seeking nomination for Lt. Governor, they are Clarice Schillinger, James Earl Jones, Rich Saccone, John Brown, Chris Frye, Jeff Coleman, Russ Diamond, Carrie Lewis Delrosso and Teddy Daniels. Three Democrats, Austin Davis, Ray Sosa and Brian Sims are looking to become the nominee for Lt. Governor. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm Tuesday.
