McKean County
An Eldred man has been arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. State police say they were called to a home at 685 Fowler Brook Road by McKean County Children and Youth who had received a Childline Report.38 year old Philip Haun was also cited for disorderly conduct couple of days later. Additional charges are pending. The theft of an antique mirror is being investigated by state police at Lewis Run. The mirror, valued at $500 belonged to Heidi Campbell of Ludlow and was taken Saturday afternoon from West Main Street in Hamilton Township.
One driver was slightly hurt in a rear-end collision Saturday afternoon on Main Street Eldred. Troopers explained the collision occurred when a Ford Focus driven by Noah Schimp of Eldred ran into the back of a Toyota Corrolla driven by Jo Crandell also of Eldred. Crandell was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Schimp allegedly fled the scene on foot but was later located and was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation. He was cited for careless driving.
An elderly Mt. Jewett woman was scammed out of an undisclosed amount of money last Thursday. The 75 year old woman sent a gift card to an unidentified suspect posing as an associate from Publishers Clearing House. State police advise the public to be aware of scams requesting payment via gift cards.
State police at Lewis Run have arrested 36 year old Jeremy McFadden of Smethport for harassment in connection to a domestic violence dispute last Friday afternoon on Reilly Hollow in Keating Township. Upon investigating, troopers allegedly found McFadden had injured a 42 year old Smethport woman.
A Bradford woman has been arrested for DUI by state police at Lewis Run. Troopers claim after stopping a 2013 Hyundai driven by Tasha Cauvel early Sunday morning on Route 155 in Eldred Township, they found she had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
DUI charges are also being filed against 33 year old Ryan Thomas of Kane. State police allege when they stopped his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix on Bolivar Drive in Foster Township early Saturday morning, they found Thomas had been driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
The theft of a motor vehicle in Lumber Township, Cameron County remains under investigation by state police at Emporium. A 2005 Black Ford Explorer Sport Trac owned by 79 year old Maria Quinn and 81 year old Theodore Quinn was taken from their residence on the CCC Highway on Saturday January 15. The SUV bears PA registration YRP6895. Anyone who has information or spots the vehicle is asked to contact state police at the Emporium barracks, 814.486.3321.
State police at Emporium are advising motorists of a criminal mischief taking place December 29 or 30th in the Sterling Run area. Vandals threw wooden balls with protruding nails into pull off areas on Barr Hollow Road and Thomas Road causing damage to a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado owned by a 66 year old Dubois man. Troopers are warning drivers to use caution while driving on those roads especially using pull off areas to park. Anyone with information is also asked to contact state police at Emporium.
Troopers at Coudersport have arrested 45 year old Eric Tampuu of Roulette for DUI after a collision January 16 at the intersection of Route 6 and Creekside Drive in the village of Roulette. No further details were released.
A teenage driver was hurt in a one-vehicle accident back on January 6 in Bingham Township, Potter County. State police allege the 17 year old Genesee girl was going west on the Genesee Mills Road when her Buick Regal went off the road and struck an embankment. The driver has been cited for DUI alcohol/drugs and was taken to UPMC Cole for treatment of minor injuries.
No injuries were reported for a Genesee driver after a one-vehicle mishap Saturday evening in Bingham Township. According to state police, Skylar Williams was headed north on the Hickcox /Ulysses Road when her Toyota Yaris slid off the road and collided with a guard and snow bank before stopping.
Sweden Township police are looking for a tractor-trailer which dumped snow and ice onto a passenger car Monday afternoon on Route 6 in Roulette Township. The white tractor and white trailer were going east just before 1:00 PM between Goodwins’ Gravel Pit (sharp curve west of Potter Pack) and Fessenden Road. A quantity of snow and ice flew off the rig and into the windshield of a westbound passenger car. The woman was not hurt although she was covered with glass and ice but was able to get out of her car safely. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sweden Township Police at 814.274.0654. DUI charges are pending against a Liberty, PA driver after a one-car crash Sunday January 16 in Richmond Township, Tioga County. According to Mansfield based state police a westbound 2019 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Mark Noe went off of Route 6 on a left curve, traveled in a ditch, continued west in the ditch, hit a road sign and mailbox before rolling over onto its roof. Police said after interviewing Noe, they determined he had been driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. He was not hurt in the crash.
A 78 year old Wellsboro woman has been arrested for physical harassment for a squabble Sunday afternoon on the Shear Road in Charleston Township. Troopers responded to the home for a reported domestic violence assault and allegedly found that the suspect had thrown items at a 55 year old Wellsboro woman during an argument over a cell phone.

Guest Service Gold is a comprehensive program designed to accomplish the goal of creating guest service-oriented line level staff members who know how to engage with their guests to provide memorable guest service. This program features stories designed to motivate and inspire hotel employees to go for the gold and provide service above and beyond the call of duty. Based on true stories of award-winning guest service, this program focuses on authenticity, intuition, empathy, delight, delivery, initiative, and being a champion.
