State Police at Lewis Run have not yet released details about a three-vehicle collision occurring Monday afternoon outside of Smethport. Apparently there were serious injuries.
A Lewis Run man has been arrested for physical harassment. Troopers at Lewis Run claim that a verbal argument involving several people became physical and Adam Priest, 34, was subsequently charged.
ID thefts continue throughout the region. Someone used the identity of a 46 year old Rew man to transfer unemployment funds from his account to another this past Saturday.
Rebecca Kenyon of Coudersport told state police someone recently used her personal information illegally last week.
A fraudulent unemployment claim was made Monday afternoon in the name of a 60 year old Kersey woman.
A Johnsonburg man was been arrested for DUI. State police at Lewis Run claim when they stopped a 2004 on Route 219 in Hamlin Township Monday afternoon, they found the driver, whose name they did not release, was driving under the influence of drugs.
Cameron County
State police at Emporium have arrested a 30 year old Emporium woman for DUI after stopping her 2005 Jeep on N. Maple Street early Sunday morning for traffic violations.

Leonard Harrison State Park is at 4797 PA-660, Wellsboro, PA 16901 and Colton Point State Park is at 927 Colton Road, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
This virtual program will last approximately 30 minutes, opening with the current status of the fall foliage and ending with questions from prospective visitors. “I’ll be focusing on the view from the overlooks, which tends to be a bit different than that in surrounding areas,” Edkin said.
Leonard Harrison is about 10 miles from Wellsboro on Route 660 west and is located on the east rim of the Pine Creek Gorge, also known as the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Colton Point is 15 miles from Wellsboro on Route 6 west and is located on the west rim of the Pine Creek Gorge.

On October 4, 2021, the Workforce Development Division of the Northern PA Regional College (NPRC) will open registration for Fall Term II, which runs from November 1 – December 23, 2021. Over 20 courses are being offered in the following fields: Applied Academics; Child Development; Emergency Medical Services; Industrial Maintenance; Medical; Precision Machining; Supervision and Leadership, Quality Systems, and Operational Excellence; and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
These courses are perfect for adults seeking to advance in their career or to begin a new one, and in some cases, current high school students can enroll. The courses are designed to be affordable and although many are available virtually, Emergency Medical Responder is being offered face-to-face at the Education Council’s Port Allegany office.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that between 12:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 and Monday, Sept. 27, there were 12,223 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,415,049.

There are 2,691 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 660 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
The trend in the 14-day moving average number of hospitalized patients continues to increase again.
Statewide percent positivity for the week of Sept. 17 – Sept. 23 stood at 8.9%.
Between 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 and 11:59 p.m. Sunday Sept. 26, there were 87 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry, reported for a total of 29,151 deaths attributed to COVID-19. County-specific information and a statewide map are available on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard.
According to the CDC, as of Sunday, Sept. 26, 68.5% of Pennsylvanians age 18 and older are fully vaccinated.
Vaccine providers have administered 12,706,667 total vaccine doses, including 88,618 additional doses authorized for people who are immunocompromised, as of Monday, Sept. 27.
6,195,256 people are fully vaccinated; with 61,460 vaccinations administered since Friday and a seven-day moving average of more than 14,400 people per day receiving vaccinations.
In licensed nursing and personal care homes, there have been a total of 76,093 resident cases of COVID-19 to date, and 16,275 cases among employees, for a total of 92,368 at 1,625 distinct facilities in all 67 counties.
Approximately 30,979 of total cases have been among health care workers.
